Public BBQ Rules & Facilities
City of Holdfast Bay has free BBQ facilities at Wigley Reserve, Seaforth Park, John Miller Reserve, Sutherland Reserve, Wattle Reserve, and throughout the Seacliff and Kingston Park foreshore areas. Council maintains and cleans all BBQ facilities.
Portable BBQs permitted subject to fire restrictions.
During Total Fire Ban days, only gas/electric BBQs are permitted.
Private events and weddings do not require formal approval as all reserves are public spaces with no hire fees.
You cannot secure exclusive use of any space or facility.
For larger events requiring infrastructure, apply through the Event Application process.
For urgent or dangerous issues (including after hours), call 8229 9999.
